Pour Points

The pour point transform will find an initial set of pour points for watersheds. This is the first step in finding watersheds and stream networks from digital elevation models or DEMs.

Elevation Raster: The layer containing the DEM

Include Interior Sinks : Check to have sinks that are not along the edges of the raster included as pour points.

Minimum Number of Pixels For Sink: This will limit the size of sinks used for pour point and can be used for reducing the number of pour points created. Note that increasing this setting may cause flow from pixels in small watersheds to flow into a large watershed.

Minium Elevation Chagne for Sink : Increasing this value reduces the number of pour points by limiting the elevation from the bottom of the sink to a pixel that will drain the sink. Note that increasing this setting may cause flow from pixels in small watersheds to flow into a large watershed.

Output Points: Unchecking this will return the raster pour point layer instead of the point layer.

Pour Points: Name for the new pour point layer.

Direction Raster: Name for the direction layer.
